INTERACTION WITH PRINCIPAL

Parent can meet Principal on all working days at 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. in summers and 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m. in winters.

PARENT - TEACHER MEETING

Parent-Teacher meetings are arranged from time to time to check and monitor the progress and growth of their wards. Parents are requested to attend all the meetings in the best interest of their wards. Special buses for parents are arranged for the PTM.

STUDENTS BODY

To teach the fundamentals of governance and to be governed, students with leadership qualities are selected to form a student’s body in the school.

HOUSE SYSTEM

All the students of the school from class III onwards are divided into four houses named after the four mudths i.e. Goverdhan House, Joshi House, Shringeri House and Sharda House with house colours Red, Yellow, Blue and Green respectively.
A variety of intra and inter house competitions are conducted every week to inculcate healthy spirit of competition and co-operation among the students.
The best house trophy is given to the house that outshine the other houses in the Vidyapeeth in Scholastic and Co-Scholastic activities.

GENERAL RULES

1. Parents/Guardians are requested to check and sign the school diary daily as it forms a link between the school and the parents. We urge you to write your remarks, if required, on the pages printed for the purpose in the school diary for the information of and necessary action by the teacher.
2. Parents/Guardian are requested to ensure their wards come to the school regularly, punctually and dressed neatly to the regulations prescribed by the school. The child will be sent back for not complying with.
3. Wearing ornaments, nail paints, mehndi or any other such items are strictly prohibited in the school.
4. The school is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings.
5. Students are not allowed to bring costly and valuable item such as watches, mobile phones, audio/video recorders/players etc. to the school. Any violation of this rule may lead to expulsion from the school.
6. Children suffering from any disease must not be sent to the school even for test or examinations. Medical certificate must be sent along with an application to get sick leave and the child must be sent to the school with fitness certificate issued by the doctor treating the child.
7. School authorities will take a serious view of parents abstaining regularly from Parent-Teachers Meets.
8. Meeting with the wards during working hours is not permitted but with the permission of the principal.
9. No leave shall be granted to any student during school hours except on medical grounds.
10. Any office bearer of the students’ cabinet of the school can check any student for violation of any rule and deal with them in exercise of the powers given to them by the school authorities.
11. Never criticize a teacher or school in presence of your child. It makes the students lose respect for teacher and school resulting in failure to learn. If you have a legitimate complaint, feel free to meet the principal.
12. Care shall be taken to keep the premises neat and clean. Waste papers and litter must be put in the dustbin. Pupil must not write on the walls or carve their names etc. on the wood work or injure/damage the school property. The cost of the repair of any such injury or damage shall be realized from the parents of the students concerned.
13. Students must appreciate, identify and mesmerize natural and created environment of and around the school.

 

LEAVE RULES

1. No leave of absence will be granted without the prior written request from the parents/guardians and that too for plausible reasons only. Those who remain absent without leave shall be fined Rs. 10/- for each day of absence.
2. A special fine of Rs. 50/- will be imposed for wilful mass absenteeism.
3. All students are expected to attend the school on the re-opening day after each vacation.
4. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive working days renders the student liable to leave his/her name struck off the rolls. Readmission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee at the discretion of the principal.
5. A student returning to the school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease shall produce a doctor’s certificate declaring him/her fit to attend the school.
SCHOOL DIARY
School diary is provided to the student in the beginning of the session. This diary is a link between school and home, therefore every parent/guardian is urged to see it daily and sign at the space provided for. The diary contains vital information about the activities of the school and the student. It is also a document to record the performance of the student; therefore it is obligatory that the diary remains with the student’s kit throughout the academic session.

Note:
Girls up to class V have to wear tunics falling up to knees.
Boys up to class V have to wear shorts in summers.
Girls from class VI to VIII will wear divided skirts falling up to knees and boys will wear trousers.
Girls having long hairs should comb their hair in plaits.
Boys with trimmed hairs must have proper and regular hair cut.
Wearing sports shoes of any colour is not permitted.
Use of trousers by girls is strictly prohibited.
A child will not be allowed to enter the Vidyapeeth in improper uniform.
Hand knitted sweater is not allowed.
Vidyapeeth logo is compulsory on the shirts, tunics, blazers and pullovers.
Fancy clothes or other such fancy items are not allowed to be worn in the Vidyapeeth.
Sikh boys will cover their head s with dastar/patka/turban.
Any student on his/her birthday can come to the Vidyapeeth in his/her desired dress that is decent and presentable.

MARTIAL ARTS

Interested students of the Vidyapeeth undergo a rigorous Taekwondo practice schedule in the morning with a motto, “What doesn’t kill me make me only strong”. Girls are also motivated to learn this art of self defence to enhance confidence and self security. The school is providing all the facilities such as training material, space, security and timely medical care to its young fighters.
The children who have registered will have to appear for an entrance test, which may be written or oral as laid down by the School for different levels. The test will be held for English, Hindi, Mathematics and/or any other subject which may be considered necessary.
(A) The selection of the candidates will depend upon the child’s performance in the test/ interview and availability of seats in the concerned class.
(B) Assessment of the child for admission is also based on the following factors:
– Academic readiness and motivation
– Social and emotional development
– Family co-operation in working with the school and meeting the needs of the students
– Ability of the school to serve the needs of the child
(C) The date of the result of the interview & the last date for the submission of fee will be specified at the time of the test/interview.
(D) Based on the admission test and other criteria, the School reserves the right to admit any student who is found fit for admission or refuse admission without assigning any reason. For all matters related to admissions, the decision of the Principal/Management will be final.

WITHDRAWAL

1. Parents/guardians are not entitled to refund of any fee or charges if they decide to withdraw their ward after depositing fee and other charges.
2. Parents have to give clear one month notice in advance for withdrawal of their ward/s, failing which a month’s fee in lieu of the notice will be charged
3. In case of withdrawal, transfer certificate and security will be released only after clearing off all the school dues.
4. A student’s name is liable to struck off the school rolls if he/she abstain him/her self for 6 consecutive working days without leave.
5. A student can also be ordered to leave the school on any of the following grounds:
– Indiscipline
– Unsatisfactory progress in work
– Failure in the final examination for two consecutive times
– Moral turpitude or any other act of grave misconduct
 

SATURDAY ACTIVITIES

Every Saturday but the Second is a activity day. Students are encouraged to develop and polish their latent talent. A variety of inter-house, inter and intra-class competitions are arranged from class Nursery to XII. About 30 different activities are carried out in one academic session.

ADMISSION

(A) The names of the children who are selected as per the admission procedure will be displayed on the notice board. International students will be informed by e-mail.
(B) Students offered admission must complete the following formalities before joining, or the offer will stand cancelled and the seat will be passed on to the next student in the ‘Waiting List’.
1. Attested photocopy of the Date of Birth Certificate Issued by the Local Municipal Authority.
2.Adhaar Card Photocopy.
3. Evidence of passing the last class or promotion to present class.
4. Original Transfer Certificate from the previous school, which should be a recognized school, affiliated to the All India Board or a State Board of Education.School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate has to be signed by DEO if transferred from state board.
5. A medical certificate from a qualified registered doctor showing the record of vaccination/ immunization etc. as well as mention of any particular ailment or health condition about which the school ought to know.
6. 2 Passport size Photographs.
7. Proof of residence of the child (Copy of Ration card / Voter’s ID / Passport).
8. All the relevant documents showing change in name and adoption certificate-if the name of the child is changed or different from the name recorded in the birth certificate or adoption deed.
If any of the above required information / document is forged / altered, the school will cancel the admission.
Admission will be valid only if the fee is paid in full by the due date along with the necessary documents and certificates as mentioned above and on completion of all formalities.

PAYMENT OF FEE

Fee can be paid in advance for full or half year with Concession, but in normal course, fee for a quarter is required to be paid in advance by the 10th of every quarter beginning with April. A fine @ Rs. 2/- per day will be charged if the fee is not paid till the due date. Student’s name will be struck off the rolls if the fee is not paid till the end of the due month and re-admission may be granted with payment of fresh admission fee at the discretion of the principal.
Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Receipts of all payments are required to be preserved as a proof of the payment.
Parents, interested to deposit their fee in bank are desired to receive voucher book from the school counter at the time of admission. No separate voucher book will be issued to those parents who opt to deposit fee at the fee counter in the school accounts office. In case 10th of the month happens to be a holiday, the fee can be paid on the following working day without fine.

Fee is to be paid in four quarters starting with April, July, October and January.
Security is payable once at the time of admission and is refundable 6 months after the student leaves the school.
Annual charges are payable in two installments in April and October of the Year.

The cycle fee shall be paid along with the 1st installment of the fee at the time of admission
Since its inception, Vidyapeeth is following Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation by dividing the entire syllabus in to semester from class 3rd onwards whereas weekly paper and pen test, topic quiz contests, presentations, creative writings, group discussions etc. are a routine.
