“A sound mind lives in a sound body.” Vidyapeeth is determined to develop ability, agility and endurance of its students by giving proper physical training to every child. Acres of land are available for playgrounds with many grounds, tracks and fields for football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Athletics, Skating etc. The school has a separate building for indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess,taekwondo etc. Each student is motivated to take part in games according to one’s interest and physical endurance.
Physical Health is given a special attention because only a healthy person can enjoy every luxury available on this side of heaven. More over 20% of total energy consumed by human body is utilized by the brain only, therefore we encourage students to play vigorously to inhale more oxygen.
Physical Health Cards are started in Primary classes to accelerate their physical and mental development with academic excellence.

NCC

The school has raised half troop of NCC Junior Division Cadets-Boys & Girls- under 7 HR. Btln. NCC, Karnal to supply brilliant officers to Indian Forces and disciplined civilians to the nation. Cadets undergo a rigorous training through drills, annual training and other camps, riffle shooting, map reading, judging distance etc.

TOURS AND EXCURSIONS

“We acquire more knowledge by travelling a mile on foot then reading pages of a mile’s length.” Tours and excursions are arranged from time to time to male students aquited with our rich culture

SATURDAY ACTIVITIES

Every Saturday is a activity day. Students are encouraged to develop and polish their latent talent. A variety of inter-house, inter and intra-class competitions are arranged from class Nursery to XII. About 30 different activities are carried out in one academic session.

MARTIAL ARTS

Interested students of the Vidyapeeth undergo a rigorous Taekwondo practice schedule in the morning with a motto, “What doesn’t kill me make me only strong”. Girls are also motivated to learn this art of self defence to enhance confidence and self security. The school is providing all the facilities such as training material, space, security and timely medical care to its young fighters

Keeping our four vedas i.e. Rig Veda, Sam Veda, Atharv Veda and Yajur Veda in the mind, the Vidyapeeth has been divided into four houses i.e. Govardhan Matha, Joshi Matha, Shringheri Matha & Sharda Matha.

On the days we have the House meeting, the school uniform for classes Pre-Nursery to VIIth will be house wise coloured T-sherts white shorts pants (Pre-Nursery to Vth). White Pants (VIth to VIIIth)/ tunics/ skirts, white socks with blue strips on the top, white canvas shoes & school belt in summer and in winter the house dress will be same including white Pants for all boys and for girls Maroon slacks with skirts/tunics & School Tie, Mustard Coat/ maroon Pullover, Maroon Cap/ Scarf and White Dastar for Sikh Boys.
